Global advertising technology leader The Trade Desk (NASDAQ:TTD) today announced the appointment of Naseem Tuffaha as Chief Growth Officer. In this newly created role, Tuffaha will be responsible for scaling operations and growth initiatives across the company, including long-term workforce expansion and scaling the company's global presence. Tuffaha will report to Jeff Green, The Trade Desk's Co-founder and CEO, and will be based in the company's Seattle office.

Tuffaha brings almost 30 years of business leadership experience to The Trade Desk, most recently as General Manager, Worldwide Sales & Go-To-Market at Microsoft, where he was responsible for global sales strategy and field operations across the Microsoft 365 and Surface businesses. Prior to that, Tuffaha was the Chief of Staff for the EVP of Microsoft's Worldwide Commercial Business, where he led cross-organizational growth initiatives. In addition, he served as COO and CMO for Microsoft's Middle East and Africa region, helping grow a multibillion-dollar business across 25 countries. In addition to his experience at Microsoft, Tuffaha was also CEO and Chief Revenue Officer of Fidesic Corporation, a venture-backed start-up that automates financial processes for midsize organizations.

"Whether it is managing small, agile teams, or large organizations with thousands of professionals, Naseem is a proven leader with a successful track record of high growth and operational excellence, all while developing exceptional teams," said Green. "In 12 years, we have quickly established The Trade Desk as the default demand-side advertising platform for the open internet, but we have only scratched the surface of our growth potential. Naseem's expertise and experience will be valuable as we strive to scale our company and deliver more value to our advertising clients around the world."

"The Trade Desk and its clients are helping redefine an industry, and as a result, the company has achieved exceptional growth in a short time," said Tuffaha. "I could not be more excited to join Jeff and the leadership team at this stage in the company's journey and bring my knowledge and skills to the table to drive global expansion and growth in the years ahead."

Tuffaha holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Harvard University.
