Machine identities have surged in volume across modern enterprises, often outpacing human identities by a significant margin. According to the SailPoint-commissioned "Machine Identity Crisis: the challenges of manual processes and hidden risks" report, nearly 70% of today's companies surveyed said they now manage more machine identities than human ones. Additionally, according to this research, machine identity volume is projected to grow by roughly 30% over the next 3-5 years. Additionally, 72% acknowledge that they find machine identities more difficult to manage than human identities.
